Nature

Nature feeds us. Quite literally. On multiple levels nature contributes to our well-being. It provides us with sustenance, shelter, and inspiration. Being close to trees, mountains, water, plants and flowers as well as the animals that call these places home give us a fresh perspective. Hiking provides an almost Alice in Wonderland feeling. Particularly if you are exploring a new forest, mountain, desert or space. It feels like you are truly in a magical place almost dream-like in its beauty. There is something about being close to the earth. We feel more connected to the things and people surrounding us. If scientists were interested, it would be truly fascinating to do a scientific study on the physiological and psychological effects of hiking on people. Happy summer.
